The goals of the Belmopan Humane Society are as follows:
- To educate the community about the proper care of pets and promote the bond between humans and all animals.
- To reduce the homeless pet population and number of unwanted pets through an affordable spay/neuter program.
- To provide temporary shelter and care for lost, homeless, abandoned, abused, sick, or injured animals until a home can be found for them.
- To provide a facility that can be used as a hurricane shelter for animals.
- To provide activities and services which promote responsible pet care.
