George Price Centre for Peace and Development
The George Price Centre for Peace and Development was established in honour of the Rt. Hon. George Price and his lifelong devotion to the peaceful construction and development of Belize and its people.
The functions of the Centre are multifaceted: it serves as a museum, a resource and training centre as well as a cultural and business centre. All the functions are geared towards achieving the overall goal of promoting the peaceful development of Belize and its people, through education, training, dissemination of information and the promotion of the arts.
Friends of the Centre Programme
The Friends of the George Price Centre Programme has been established to support the activities of the Centre. Over the past two years, the George Price Centre for Peace and Development accommodated an average of 25 activities per month, welcoming close to 20,000 visitors! Many Belizeans joined in a wide variety of activities, including movie nights, cultural events, meetings, seminars, workshop and exhibits. Our reference library has been growing steadily and we recently opened an Information Technology Training Centre, with the assistance from the Taiwanese Government.
Help us to develop the George Price Centre into a true venue of inspiration to the continued peaceful development of Belize by becoming a Friend of the Centre. More information and an application form can be found at www.gpcbelize.com
